PETA advetising makeup that uses goat hair brushes

Postby Rhondaf » Tue Oct 09, 2007 1:45 am

Talk about moral schitzophrenia!!!! PETA is pumping up the Smashbox makeup line, saying it is "humane" not tested on animals. Well, what about the dead goat hair brushes they use to apply this "humane" makeup? Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this one out! Yes, I wrote them a letter!

Since PETA and other welfare or new welfare orgs rely on donations
to make living.
I don't think their concern is animals but money.
They make good friendship with animal exploiters, and they kiss
potential donator's ass.
Humanely made goat hair brushes are business as usual.
It is their nature.

Can you post a link? This seems a little unbelievable even by PeTA standards...It could be that the producers of the product didn't tell PeTA that the brush was goat-hair? If that's not the case I guess it comes down to what Hummingbird said (as sad as it is to say).

like many corporations and large organizations....they all have their good sides and they all have their bad. PeTA is no exception. they do bring to light the plight, abuse, torture and exploitation of factory farm animals and animals in the entertainment business. but then they turn around and say how the extermination of a breed of dog is the only logical explanation to end that breed's suffering (i am writing about the american pit bull terrier). they can then go ahead and euthanize healthy and very adoptable dogs and cats.
PeTA does indeed know how to make a profit and knows just whose pockets to stick their hands into.

many can argue that the above facts are pointed out by an online site called petakills.com (founded by procter and gamble) but should we ignore these statements because they have been devulged by a company which does incorporate animal testing....or should we learn and know the facts before we fully back an organization (PeTA) which seems to do good things for MOST animals and NOT ENOUGH or COMPLETELY IGNORE another species of animal....

to me, ALL ANIMALS have the very real and inherent RIGHT to live and be free without being exploited for human greed and arrogance!
